At the Hillcrest Dental Centre we are a family ready to help yours. We know that a visit to the dentist for anyone, young or old, is one that most people try to avoid. But we do also know that taking care of your teeth and gums from a young age will make you look and feel great for longer. General Dentistry

We offer General Dentistry such as:
-Preventing oral health conditions such as tooth decay, gum disease, or oral infection. Diagnosing existing issues, some of which are unseen without an X-ray or thorough examination.

Crowns & Bridges

A crown is required when a tooth’s structure has decayed to the point where a filling isn’t enough. A crown is a covering that encases the entire tooth surface, restoring it to its original shape and size, and protecting and strengthening it.

Children Dental Health

The first dental visit is recommended by 12 months of age, or within 6 months of the first tooth coming in.

Root Canal Treatment

A root canal treatment is necessary when the blood or nerve supply of the tooth (called the pulp) becomes infected due to decay or injury.

Teeth Whitening

Often, people with stained or discoloured teeth may just need a whitening procedure to restore their smile.

Braces

Braces are applied to teeth for various reasons, including poorly aligned jaws, crooked, over-or under-bite, crowded and missing teeth, or a bad bite (called malocclusion).

Meet The Dentists

Dr Griesel

Dr Griesel qualified at Pretoria University and did a BChD Honours in Endodontics and later an MSc in Odontology, focusing on Endodontics Dental Implants and Oral Medicine. He started working in Melville, Gauteng and then worked and lived in the UK, Saudi Arabia, Dubai and back in the UK again for many years. He is an expert in all things dental, with a special interest in endodontics (root treatments) and cosmetic dentistry. He proudly puts the needs of his patients first to get their smile back. Dr Griesel also says when your work is also your hobby, you never have to go to work again.

Dr Dennison

Dr Ashlea Dennison grew up in KwaZulu-Natal for most of her childhood. She moved provinces after finishing school and graduated with her first degree, BSc in Medical Sciences, at the University of Pretoria in 2015. From there, she moved to Sandton and completed her Bachelor of Dental Sciences degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2020 (Cum Laude). She spent a year helping the communities of one of the Gauteng Districts before starting at a private practice in Northcliff, Johannesburg in 2022. At the end of 2022, Dr Ashlea relocated to her hometown, Hillcrest, to start her new career at the Hillcrest Dental Centre, where she feels like family.
